Challenge
PEX processes payments across some of the world's fastest-growing markets, issuing, acquiring, and digital payments. Rapid growth brought PCI-DSS and financial-regulator compliance obligations that its manual security processes couldn't keep pace with: inconsistent privileged-access management across a hybrid Windows, Linux, and AIX environment, no MFA on network devices, and audits that were slow and hard to evidence.
Solution
FABS implemented Centrify's Zero Trust Privilege platform: privileged access requests, multi-factor authentication, Active Directory bridging, secure remote access, and session recording and auditing, replacing ad hoc local admin accounts with role-based access across the full hybrid estate.
Outcome
Password and privileged-account management is now automated across Windows, Linux, and AIX. PEX runs daily access reports for audit and compliance, access is granted by role rather than individual ID (and revoked automatically when a role changes), and when COVID-19 lockdowns hit, secure remote access was already in place; only minor configuration was needed to move the workforce home.
